It's the weekend after the big heatwave and there's plenty of cool things happening in Sandbach to keep you entertained!

Live music, craft sessions, an open mic and a craft fair to name a few.

Every Thursday, we bring you our top picks of events in Sandbach happening over the coming weekend.

Friday, July 22nd

The weekend starts with two great music events. At The Black Cat Coffee House in Welles Street,

Jigsaw Jane will be playing live acoustic music from 7pm – 9.30 pm.

At The Military Arms in Congleton Road, there's live music with Henry Myles from 7.30 pm.

Saturday, July 23rd  

Sandbach Art Room in Bradwall Road has the last Junior Art session until September from 1pm – 2.30 pm and 3 pm – 4.30 pm for 4 – 11 year olds. It's £7 a session and those taking part will be making sunshine tiles by creating collages and printing blocks to print with. If you'd like to come along to the last Junior Art until September, please book on the website https://sandbachartroom.co.uk/

At the Potters Barn in Roughwood Lane, there are two workshops."Beautiful Bangles" takes place from 10 am – 3pm. You will learn how to make a bangle in sterling silver using the basic techniques of soldering, filing and polishing.

Meanwhile there's also "An introduction to Hand Made Craft Pottery". The pottery session is concluded with a review of work produced and you will be able to choose items to be fired if you wish. The session runs for two hours from 10.30 am until 12.30pm.

In the evening, The Lion in High Street, Sandbach has Toby … 

At the Cheshire Cheese in Wheelock there's an open mic night. If you would like to take part just pop in. Backing tracks can be offered to go with most songs. Message the pub on their Facebook page to book a slot.

Sunday, July 24th    

If running is more your thing, Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.

At Sandbach Maket Hall, there's a gift and craft fair from 10 am until 3pm – a chance to browse and find a bargain or two!
