It's a fun weekend ahead with a play, live sport and live music and a record fair.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, September 30th    

The Saxon Players present 'Dinner for Sinners' at Sandbach Masonic Hall. Doors open at 7pm and the performance starts at 7.30 pm.

There is a charity quiz night at Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road.

Saturday, October 1st     

Rode Hall at Scholar Green has its monthly farmer's market from 9 am until 1.30 pm with Rode produce and flowers from the kitchen garden and an array of stalls from all over the area.

The talented Johnny Gell will be playing live and the courtyard kitchen will be open serving brunches and delicious homemade cakes.

The Potter's Barn in Roughwood Lane, Hassall Green has an introduction to hand-made e craft pottery from 10.30 am until 12.30 pm.

Sandbach Rugby FC in Bradwall Road 's 1st XV are home against Manchester Rugby Club.

Meanwhile Sandbach United Football Club's first time take on Ellesmere Rangers with a 3 pm kick-off in Hind Heath Road.

In the evening, The Lion pub has Toby Webb from 9.30 pm his one man rock show Toby Rocks.

The Lower Chequer in Sandbach has Spectre while the Cheshire Cheese in Wheelock has a band called Justified at 9 pm.

Sunday, October 2nd 

Sandbach Record Fair is on at Sandbach indoor market from 10 am un til 3 pm with records, memorabilia and record cleaning items. There's a café. Organised by Backtrax music.

If running is your thing, Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.
