It's a spooktacular weekend ahead with fun events including a comedy night, a veterans' breakfast, pottery making, live rugby and Halloween parties.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, October 28th

There's a Halloween night at Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road with a spooky walk, DJ, kids' fun and prizes.

At Sandbach Town Hall, the Comedy Hotspot returns for another night of top comedy. Doors will be open from 7 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m. 

Saturday, October 29th 

At the Masonic Hall, there's a Halloween coffee morning with spooky specials along with traditional stalls.

Meanwhile at the Military Arms in Congleton Road there's the launch of the Veterans' breakfast club with great food and chat on offer starting at 9am.

The Potters Barn in Roughwood Lane, Hassall Green has a short craft pottery session from 10.30 am until 12.30 pm.

Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road will see the 1st XV take on Wirral at the normal kick off time of 3pm. 

The 2nd XV also take on Wirral, at the slightly earlier kick off time of 2:30pm. See you there!

In the evening, Halloween fever comes to town at the Cheshire Cheese in Wheelock with its legendary Halloween party. The DJ starts at 9pm.

The Lion in Sandbach has a rock n roll/rockabilly fancy dress Halloween special with live music from Russ Bebop and the Roadrunnerz.

Think Teddy boys/girls, Danny & Sandy from Grease. Prizes for best outfits, 'vampiri' cocktail and the usual drink offers. The fun starts around 8.00pm.

Sunday, October 30th  

If running is your thing, Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.

In the evening, the first of the local firework events takes place in Smallwood. Sandbach Young Farmers' Club has its bonfire night. Entry is £5 per person with burgers, tea, coffee and cold drinks available.
