It's an action-packed weekend ahead – the maker's market, sport and live music.

Friday, August 11th

If you like walking, there's an interesting 'Summer Evening Spunch' event with a rolling start from 6 pm until 9pm. The start nis Buttertons Ice Cream Farm in Haslington. Children under 16 go free with mum or dad and it's £5/£6 entry for adults, including a waterproof map. For more details and to enter go follow this link here

At the Lower Chequer, Small Horse & the Plan are live from 9 pm.

Saturday, August 12th

Sandbach Makers Market is on with a big line-up of local artisans and stalls. It starts at 10 am and goes on until 3 pm. Worth a visit to soak up the atmosphere and pick up a few bargains!

Sandbach United's first team are at home to Maine Road at Hind Heath Road with a 3 pm kick-off.

At Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road, there's a pre-season festival. A full afternoon of rugby with Bowdon, Douglas and Old Brodleians joining the club for a series of thirty minute games from 2pm. There'll be six senior games alongside a social game on pitch three.

The Lion has Glen Tyler and his 80's show with a 9.30 pm start.
