Police closed one part of the road and a 91.year-old woman was taken to hospital following a collision with a HGV in Hightown yesterday (Thursday).

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At 1.30 pm, police were called to a collision on Hightown, Sandbach.

"Police attended and found there had been a collision between a HGV and a pedestrian.

"The pedestrian, a 91-year-old woman, was taken to hospital following the collision. No arrests were made."
