The pandemic was no easy task for pubs in Sandbach when they had to close their doors not knowing when they would be pulling pints again.
But two pubs in the town have reason to celebrate as they have made it into the latest edition of the Campaign for Real Ales (CAMRA) Good Beer Guide.

A pilot project to improve the social and mental wellbeing of residents at a home in Sandbach for adults with physical disabilities will go live – thanks to support from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
Residents at Hill House Leonard Cheshire Home in Sandbach will be able to enjoy a cinema type experience with family and friends, seeing some of the latest films, with help of Co-op members and the Local Community Fund.
Three local causes shared a bumper £18,658.30 when the Co-op's annual fundraising campaign reached its conclusion.
Each year Co-op stores ask local people to nominate deserving community causes and three are selected to benefit.
A 72-hour operation aimed at targeting and arresting domestic abuse perpetrators across Cheshire has been launched.
Operation Guardians was launched today and goes on until Thursday will specifically target domestic abuse offenders while bolstering the support available to victims and families affected.

Domestic abuse in households with adults suffering from dementia has spiralled in Cheshire East during the pandemic.

A kind hearted couple who bought a railway platform sign at auction and donated it back to the town have seen it restored to its right place and installed back on the platform.
Kieran and Angela Preston bought the old Sandbach station sign dating back to the 1950s at an auction of memorabilia in Crewe.
