Police are urging Christmas shoppers to be vigilant following purse thefts in Sandbach and other Cheshire towns.

A total of six women have had their purses stolen, including in Nantwich, Macclesfield, Crewe and Northwich over the past week. All of the victims are over 60 and one is 90.
