A mysterious "humming" noise is driving some Sandbach residents spare with no idea where it is coming from.

Nichola Friel, a Cooksmere Lane resident, raised the issue on social media and found that others have had similar experiences with the humming across the town and further afield.

THE benefits of the Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine "outweigh the risks", a leading Cheshire NHS official has said.

Clare Watson, the accountable officer for the NHS Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which is leading the county's vaccination roll-out, made the comments after a recommendation from the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for under-30s to seek alternative coronavirus vaccines because of a possible link to blood clots.
