Children, parents and carers at a Sandbach primary school look set to have success on a plate at their big Coronation event – thanks to the Co-op.

Elworth Hall Primary School on Lawton Way is holding a Coronation picnic celebration tomorrow (Friday).

The school's PTA, Elworth Hall School Association, was one of the lucky winners of the Co-op's Coronation party pack.

Now those attending the Coronation picnic are set to have plenty of fun thanks to the Co-op party pack contents, which included recipes, bunting, mini-flags, celebratory chalk and a Co-op gift voucher.

Elworth Hall School Association secretary, Tarrin Weigelt, successfully applied to win a free Coronation party pack to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

"The Coronation party pack will really help. We're just hoping the weather holds out but fingers crossed," she said.

"It's so great of the Co-op to do this. The picnic is a big community event and we're really grateful."

Tarrin's son, six-year-old James Burt, a pupil at Elworth Hall, helped his mum open the pack and check out its contents.

The school is inviting picnic goers to take blankets and foldable chairs along to the event, open from 12 noon until 3 pm, which will also feature a bouncy castle and games.

Elworth Hall School Association (EHSA) is no stranger to the help the Co-op provides for local communities.

The EHSA received £5,163.12 from the Co-op Local Community Fund last year.

The school is poised to start work on building a state-of-the-art sensory garden this month (May) as revealed in our story here:

For every £1 Co-op members spend on selected Co-op products and services, 2p goes back to members and Co-op gives the same to support community organisations and local causes. You can find out more andbecome a Co-op Memberhere.
