A mum who runs her own cleaning company is taking her mop and bucket to Sandbach Park – to add her sparkle and shine to the park's toilets.
Heidi Weaver who runs Heidi's Tip Top Shine in the town noticed the toilets needed a bit of a makeover while taking her children Aurelia (5) and Jessica (7) to the toilets at the park.
Now the big-hearted business owner's company provide a free of charge service to the toilets Monday to Thursday.
And they have been thanked for their services by Sandbach Partnership who set the wheels in motion to make it happen and the chairman of the Friends of Sandbach Park.
Heidi, who lives in Wheelock and her staff were presented with a hamper of goodies as recognition of their hard work by Sandbach Partnership and the Friends of Sandbach Park.
Keeley Todd, chair of Sandbach Partnership said: "Heidi's Tip Top Shine asked who to contact regarding offering their services, to do some additional cleaning of the public toilets in Sandbach
Park. She said: "As Sandbach Partnership has a very close relationship with Cheshire East Council and ANSA I decided this was something the partnership could help facilitate. "We are extremely lucky to have public toilet facilities in Sandbach Park and the voluntary cleaning by Heidi and her teamis greatly appreciated by everyone involved getting this amazing community spirited offers into place."
Heidi Weaver, owner of Heidi's Tip Top Shine, often collects her children from school and takes them to the park to use the children's play area.
She said: "They're public toilets at the end of the day but I wanted something nice for both my children to use and other park users.
It takes us around 10 – 15 minutes each time to clean the toilets and we're delighted as a company to help."
And people using the toilets might notice little touches Heidi's successful cleaning company leave behind – if they have time they fold the toilet paper as they would at customer's homes.
Heidi and her team have been volunteering their services since the 21st of September, when they performed their initial deep clean that took two hours.
Regular park users have already been providing positive feedback on the improvement.
Park users can thank the amazing volunteer team by leaving feedback via the forms supplied in the park's "telephone box" and put them in the suggestion box provided.
Sandbach Partnership will ensure they are passed on the Heidi and her team.
A spokesperson for Cheshire East Council said: "We are grateful to Heidi for her work to help keep the toilets at Sandbach Park clean, and it shows a fantastic sense of community spirit.
"The toilets at Sandbach Park are cleaned by Cheshire East Council every day.
"However, council resources do not allow for them to be monitored and cleaned continuously during the day."
