A South Cheshire canalside pub formerly run by Park Lane Deli's new owners is set to reopen
A canalside pub near Nantwich is set to reopen under new owners with longer hours, after a premises licence was submitted for the venue.
The Olde Barbridge Inn, Old Chester Road, Nantwich, ceased trading under owner, James Perrins, on 29 September.
After running the South Cheshire pub for 11 years, James and his partner Emma Mayall left to take on Sandbach's Park Lane Deli.
Over three months after The Olde Barbridge Inn closed, Punch Taverns Limited has applied for a new premises licence.
The pub and bar operator wants to open the venue and provide late night refreshment 9am to 1am, (Sunday to Wednesday) and 9am to 2am, (Thursday to Saturday).
It wants to provide the sale of alcohol up until one hour before closing and the provision of live and recorded music until 11pm (Sunday to Wednesday) and 1pm (Thursday to Sunday).
The premises licence reads: "Notice is hereby given that Punch Taverns Limited has applied in respect of the Barbridge Inn Old Chester Road, Barbridge, for the grant of a new premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following:
"For the sale of alcohol (on and off sales) Sunday to Wednesday from 10am until 12pm and Thursday to Saturday from 10am until 1am the following morning.
"For live music, recorded music and activities similar to live/recorded music Sunday to Wednesday from 10am until 11pm and Thursday to Saturday from 10am until 12pm.
"For late night refreshment Sunday to Wednesday from 11pm until 1am the following morning and Thursday to Saturday from 11pm until 2am the following morning.
"Opening hours of the premises to be Sunday to Wednesday from 9am until 1am the following morning and Thursday to Saturday from 9am until 2am the following morning.
"For all the above, on statutory bank holiday weekend periods (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday) and for the Thursday before Good Friday and for Christmas Eve, the time will be extended by one hour beyond times.
"On St David's Day, St Patrick's Day, St George's Day and St Andrew's Day, the finish time will be extended by one hour, with seven days notice and agreement with the police.
"On occasions of local, national or international significance or for charitable events, the finish time will be extended by one hour, with seven days notice and agreement with the police."
