A child and an adult injured in a two-vehicle crash near Sandbach today

One person suffered a head injury and a child suffered minor injuries in a road accident in Haslington today (Thursday).
Police also closed the road for a while following the accident in Crewe Road at around 8.15 am.
A Cheshire police spokesperson said: "The incident involved two vehicles, a white Volkswagen and a grey Skoda Superb, which was blocking the road.
"An ambulance attended the scene. The driver of the Skoda suffered a head injury, while a child passenger in the Volkswagen suffered minor injuries."
Police reopened the road at 9.20 am.
