A new leadership team is being sought for the organisation which has brought nearly £2m to Sandbach
An urgent plea has been made for officers to come forward for a Sandbach community led organisation which has secured nearly £2 million for the town.
The three remaining officers of Sandbach Partnership stepped down earlier this year.
Now a bid is being made to resurrect the organisation which has a risk of dissolving unless new officers are found.
Mark Cook, co-ordinator of Sandbach Clean Team, is asking anyone interested in helping to come forward.
He said: "Sandbach Partnership has secured nearly £2 million over the years for projects in Sandbach, such as redeveloping the Market Square.
"Since February the Partnership has had no officers and there is a real risk it will be dissolved.
"If this happens, the community will lose the Enterprise Centre which can be used by voluntary groups free of charge, we would lose storage space and we would lose a grant from Cheshire East Council as well as the ability to get other funding.
"We will also lose the opportunity to ask new organisations to join to make it even more open and inclusive.
"We are recruiting a new leadership team who will bring local voluntary groups together, apply for grants and benefit the whole community."
The partnership, which has been in existence since 2004, is looking for a chair, vice chair, secretary and treasurer.
