Good news for animal lovers! A much-loved pet shop in the centre of Sandbach which is closing at the end of this month has been bought and is staying as a pet shop!

Kaz's Creature Comforts in Penda Way is shutting up shop next Saturday , March 29th.

But although it's getting a change of owners it's staying as a pet shop with a new name.

The shop, in Penda Way, is being renamed "Barking Mad".

A post from the Kaz's Creature Comforts' Social Media page said at the time of announcing the closing: "It is with a heavy heart that due to personal circumstances we have made the difficult decision to close Kaz's Creature Comforts.

"We want to thank each and every one of you for your support, kindness and love over the years. We've loved being part of this wonderful community and helping you care for your pets large and small.

"Our final day of trading will be Saturday 29th March. We would love to see you all during March. If anyone out there does happen to be interested in having a pet shop or the unit please feel free to reach out. Karen and team."

Meanwhile, a pet shop in Crewe is closing its doors at the end of April - 22 years and seven months since opening as our sister site Crewe Nub News told here
