A Sandbach church has launched a new monthly club to help local residents with the cost-of-living crisis.
The Church on Ettiley Heath in Elton Road is holding a 'Fellowship Lunch' on the first Wednesday of every month from 12 noon.
They will be serving soup and sandwiches and tea or coffee for just £1 per person in the church hall building next to the church.
And the event isn't just about food - it's hoped it will also be a chance, like an event being held in nearby Rode Heath, to make new friends.
The church already runs a monthly breakfast club but says this event is in addition to that and to help with the economic climate.
A spokesperson said: "The Breakfast Club team look forward to meeting you.
"Everyone is more than welcome. Come along and enjoy the event."
The first lunch was held on November 2nd and the next will be on December 7th.
Meanwhile a church down the road in Rode Heath is throwing open its doors every Wednesday as a 'warm hub' for local residents.
Anyone is welcome to go along to the Good Shepherd Church in Rode Heath from 12 noon until 5 pm for the 'Warm Wednesday get together'.
Church organisers say the heating is on in the morning for a service and then back on in the evening for Rainbows so the building is warm.

Volunteer, Margaret Sankey, whose husband Gerry, is church warden said: "There's no need to feel they have to go to church. This is open to everyone.
"We feel it will help with heating bills and is a chance to socialise and have a cup of tea or coffee with others."
Magazines, books and games are available
Today (Wednesday) is the second week the event has been held and organisers are hoping it will grow and grow.
"Bring your knitting, daily paper, dominoes, playing cards or anything else and come and have a chat," a spokesperson added.
"Save on your heating and keep warm with your friends. Come along for a hot drink, slice of cake and a natter."
The event will run until every Wednesday March next year.
Are any other churches or places in the Alsager or Sandbach area offering warm hubs this winter?
