The sun shone, the crowds gathered and rainbow flags were everywhere as the town literally rocked for the annual Sandbach Pride event.

Crowds lined the High Street to watch the parade walk from the Old Hall to Sandbach Park which was packed with an array of stalls and live music.

There were shopping trolleys decorated in all kinds of styles and music galore as the colourful parade walked through the town centre on Saturday (September 6th).

Every section of the community was represented from sport to walking clubs and everything in between. The best dressed shopping trolley was judged as belonging to Wheelie Social Sandbach with its Wizard of Oz theme and poppy fields.

Shops throughout the town also joined in with colourful rainbow displays in their windows to mark the big occasion.

The Mayor, Councillor John Arnold and Town Crier, David Hypson, dressed in rainbow coloured attire for the occasion, arriving in the Bentley 'Unifying Spur' created by Bentley to promote diversity and inclusion.

The music flowed in Sandbach Park and performers sang their hearts out throughout the event which finished at 5 pm.
