An animal charity which opened a shop in April is appealing for volunteers so it can open for six days a week.

Sandbach Animal Rescue Society Shop needs people to help man their shop in St George's Walk, Sandbach.

Sandbach Nub News told here how the charity, which has been running for 40 years, had opened its first shop.

A spokesperson said: "Our shop is entirely run by volunteers. We are looking to increase our friendly team so that we can open the shop regularly for six days per week in order to raise much needed funds to sustain our charity.

"No previous experience is necessary and training will be provided. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome the stray, unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens in Sandbach and the local area."

Anyone interested should contact Donna, the volunteer coordinator by email at [email protected]
