An animal-loving resident has launched a 'dog library' outside her Elworth home to help other pooch lovers.
Sarah Baker, who used to run a turtle and tortoise sanctuary, came up with the idea recently to help dog owners.
She says many are struggling during the cost-of-living crisis and although just days old, the dog library has already helped five or six owners.
The dog library, outside Sarah's Bollin Close home, is run in the same way as a book library is run – people can drop products off then take what they need.
"We've got all sorts of things from dog clothing, collars and poo bags which we're putting outside," she said.
"My husband is building a waterproof cabinet so it doesn't matter what the weather is like, the products will be kept dry.
"No one knows what people are going through at the moment but some people are struggling to feed their own pets."
"We've only had it out a few days but we've already helped five or six dog owners.
"We get quite a few people walking their dogs past the house so it's an idea thing to do."
And it's not just Sarah who is involved in the project – her whole family gets involved too.
As well as having two dogs herself, Sarah also has guinea pigs, Pirate and Pearl and a hamster.
One of her sons, Charlie, is training to be a veterinary nurse and her youngster daughter, Daisy who leaves school in two weeks' time will be following in his footsteps.
"We're an animal loving family," said Sarah.
