Organisers of a major three-day event near Sandbach are getting ready for this year's event.

Smallwood Steam and Vintage Rally near Sandbach is on this weekend and organisers are promising it will be bigger and better than ever before.

Classic cars, traction engines, lorries and a raft of other vehicles are all part of the event which runs from Saturday (May 25th) until Monday (May 27th).

The event attracts crowds of visitors from far and wide, many camping for the occasion.

Sandbach model engineer Philip Owston was there last year with one of his pride and joys - the Pride of Sandbach (pictured below).

The steam engine features the Fred Hackney road transport name, a company which was based in Sandbach.

Vintage classic car are a feature of the event which also has modern vehicle exhibits, classic campers, engines, military vehicles, tanks, steam engines and much more plus an array of stalls.

Almost 200 vintage tractors were on display last year during the weekend which has Facebook page here
