A farm shop opened in loving memory of a family's son has got a signed photograph and hat from none other than Jeremy Clarkson and 'Diddly Squat Farm'.

It's just over a year since the Heyworth family opened Alec's Farm Shop in School Lane, Smallwood.

The family opened the shop in memory of former Holmes Chapel student, Alec Heyworth, who sadly died following a serious collision involving a car on the A523 at Rushton Spencer.

A friend of the Heyworth family contacted Jeremy Clarkson telling him about the venture and although he hasn't visited he sent a signed photograph and hat on display in the shop.

Alec's mum Gill said: "He hasn't visited yet but we're hoping one day he might pop in if he's passing.

"It was great to receive the parcel from him. We were really chuffed."

Alec's dad, Paul, built the timber-framed cabin to house the shop as we revealed in our story here plus garden benches for visitors sit and enjoy a drink and snack after their visit to the well-stocked shop.

The shop stocks milk from the farm's own cows and milk shakes using milk from the cows which were bought on their late son's birthday in his memory.
