Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a fatal collision in Haslington.

At around 11.20pm on Friday(March 31st), officers were called to reports of a collision on the A534 Haslington bypass.

Police attended the scene and found there had been a collision between a white BMW M2 and a small motorcycle which was travelling towards Crewe.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 29-year-old man from Crewe, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Leighton Hospital. Sadly, despite the best efforts of all those involved, he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver of the car, a 33-year-old man from Crewe, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving. He has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

Enquiries into the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information which may aid the investigation.

The same goes for anyone with any dashcam footage.

Anyone with any information or video footage is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101, or at www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting IML 1513446.
