Armed police were involved in an operation in the Gresty Road area of Crewe - ending without action (Crewe Nub News).

Officers were in full protective gear and carrying weapons. They arrived at Crewe Alexandra FC Car Park in large numbers.

A drone was helping police commanders as they marshalled the operation.

Crewe Nub News arrived at the scene and spoke to armed officers.

An officer said: "This has come to nothing. We were called to a a potential threat within the community.

"Nothing has happened and the operation is now off."

Nub News contacted Cheshire Constabulary for comment on the operation.
