Bikers are set to roar into Sandbach on Saturday (24 October) to launch the town's annual poppy appeal.

Local veterans will gather around Sandbach War Memorial to watch the historic moment and listen to a short act of Remembrance.

Some of the riders are ex-service personnel but there many more just want to support the Royal British Legion through the Riders Branch.

The event is an annual one and marks the moment the Sandbach area starts collecting for the annual appeal.

The event is also a chance to see motorbikes belonging to members of Riders branch of the RBL plus buy poppy merchandise.

The event always attracts a large crowd if motorbikers, all members of the RBL's Bikers Branch. (Photo: Nub News)
