Officers searching for a missing pensioner have found a body.

While formal ID has yet to take place, it is thought to be Tony Brooke, 82, who was reported missing this morning (September 1)

Next of kin have been informed.

Police launched an appeal earlier today asking for help in finding the missing 82-year-old man from Haslington.

Tony Brooke was last seen at 2.22pm on Monday 31 August on Bradley Hall Road going towards the bridge over the A534 in the general direction of Haslington.
