Brereton: Man charged with series of offences following police pursuit

Officers have charged a man with a number of offences following a police pursuit in Cheshire.

At around 10.40am on Friday 5 January police stopped a red Kia Ceed on the A50, Newcastle Road North, in Brereton, following a pursuit.

The driver of the car, a 38-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine) dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to provide a specimen, and driving without insurance.

John Inglesby, of Mintor Road, Northwood, Kirby, has since been charged with the offences.

He appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Saturday(6th January), where he was remanded in custody.

He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday, 5th February.
