Brewery owner hints at Sandbach as a location for the growing Bod Cafe business

By Deborah Bowyer 22nd Aug 2022

An exciting new café bar has opened in Alsager and the owner hasn't ruled out launching one in Sandbach.

Staffordshire-based Titanic Brewery officially opened the doors to 'Bod Alsager' in Crewe Road today (Monday) - its seventh.

Titanic Brewery has spent around £300,000 converting the former solicitor's office opposite the B'Hoys Community Gardens into the trendy new venue.

And the owner and director of Titanic Brewery, David Bott, says he would consider opening one in Sandbach - if the right property came up.

Bod Alsager has an outside terrace and conservatory and many of the original features enhanced and retained including stained glass windows and exposed brickwork.

David Bott, director and owner of Titanic Brewery said: "We always try to preserve what we can and make the buildings part of the community. It's a wonderful building.

"We're delighted with Bod Alsager and we're always looking for new opportunities to pursue.

"I have looked at Sandbach. It's a case of the right building coming up. This is our third Bod Café to open this year and our seventh in total."

Titanic say the aim of Bod cafes is for them to be "at the heart of the community" and as such the Alsager one will have a community notice board.

Each Bod café is different and caters for the local community which could include having live music and featuring local events.

"From hearty breakfasts and lunches to delicious coffees and cakes, and of course a fantastic range of beers, wines and spirits, we're sure that there will be something for everyone here at Bod Alsager."

Jonathan Wright, Head of Retail at Titanic Brewery said: "It has been an absolute pleasure to meet local businesses over the past few weeks, and we look forward to joining this vibrant and engaging community.

"From hearty breakfasts and lunches to delicious coffees and cakes, and of course a fantastic range of beers, wines and spirits, we're sure that there will be something for everyone here at Bod Alsager."
