Brewery reveals 'exciting' plans for famous Sandbach town centre pub which has been closed for a while
A Sandbach pub which has been closed for a while looks set to reopen after a major makeover.
And owners, Robinsons Brewery say the Swan and Chequers new look will be influenced by the town and pub's historic links to the Houses of Parliament.
Robinsons has applied to Cheshire East Council to extend the opening hours (bringing the start time earlier) and to extend the trading area
The pub is tenanted and Robinsons say they are looking to recruit a new business partner to run the pub.

Scaffolding is currently outside the pub in Hightown and work has started to give the pub a makeover.
A spokesperson said: "A new catering kitchen is being installed and there will be full refurbishment of trading areas.
"Design plans are to create a town centre bar that appeals to all demographics.
"The total venue is going to have a capacity of 180 with areas for live entertainment."
And it's not just the inside which is getting a makeover – the outside is too.

The spokesperson added: "There will be lots of large open space and there are exciting plans for the external courtyard."
Robinsons say the pub will not be offering guest rooms and building work is expected to be completed by the end of June,
"There is no date yet for the re-opening of the pub. This will be dependent on the new licensee," the spokesperson continued.
"The food and drinks offering will also be dependent on the new licensee."
