By royal appointment – Sandbach's famous historic Cobbles where the famous Saxon Crosses stand now has a new addition.

Two thousand Coronation pennants hand-decorated by primary school children in Sandbach are now flying high over The Cobbles.

Hardworking councillors and volunteers carefully hung the beautifully decorated flags above the Cobbles last night (Tuesday).

The pennants were sent out to schools in the town to decorate and hand back to be hung in the centre of the town.

Each flag has been hand-decorated by primary school children in Sandbach.

The result is nothing short of amazing, showing how important the youth of the town are in celebrating this weekend's big royal occasion.

And not surprisingly, the new display is drawing eagle-eyed visitors. Have you been to see it yet?
