A Sandbach café owner has celebrated the third anniversary of the opening her business - and is looking forward to the year ahead.

Chef Beverley Parkin took over Sally's café in Green Street three years ago today (Tuesday) after a career in hospitality, working for a range of restaurants and pubs.

And she made sure her customers had an extra treat by baking them special third birthday biscuits and offering them a coffee on the house.

Beverley said: "It's been a great day and very busy. Everyone has been so kind and supported me by coming in to see us today.

"We're just looking forward to the year ahead and enjoying serving our customers for the next 12 months and beyond."

Beverley worked at the Belle Epoque in Knutsford but decided she wanted a challenge so launched her own business.

"We kept the name and we've got through two lockdowns. We've launched a range of offers to help our customers through these challenging times," she said.

Beverley makes all the cakes and salad dressings herself, along with the rest of the food on the menu and offers an afternoon tea service to take out.

She has also introduced "specials" everyday such as 'Toastie Tuesday' and 'Thirsty Thursday' and recently bought a coffee machine delivering everything from cappuccinos to lattes and more.
