Watch out, there's a mole or two about!

Moles make mayhem in gardens and aren't always gardeners' best friends but the nocturnal creatures are set to make a welcome visit to Sandbach.

In fact, the hardworking small mammals are set to start digging their way around Sandbach town centre – and it's all in the name of art!

Sandbach Art Room, in Bradwall Road, part of Cheshire Arts for Health, has organised a mole hunt during half-term to raise funds, supported by Right at Home South Cheshire.

The fun event will help Sandbach Art Room continue to run their children's well-being classes – 'chill out club '.

Twenty-six moles will be located in town centre shop windows and businesses and prizes will be given in the fun competition.

Volunteer at Cheshire Arts for Health, Kate Southwell, based at Sandbach Art Room, come up with the idea.

She said: "The moles will 'escape' from the Art Room and appear in windows from tomorrow (Saturday 21st October) until Saturday, October 28th.

"Moles have been crocheted by our volunteers and supporters to raise funds and awareness."

Entry forms are available from Sandbach Art Room in Bradwall Road from 10 am until 4 pm, Monday – Saturday.
