Chase on M6: stolen car brought to a stop following minor collision

A motorist was arrested for failing to stop, theft of a motor vehicle, driving without insurance and driving without a licence with a pursuit which began near Sandbach.
A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At 12.30pm on Monday 27 July, police attended to stop a suspected stolen car on the M6 northbound between junctions 16 and 17.
"The driver of the silver Dacia Duster failed to stop and made off. The vehicle was subsequently brought to a stop between junctions 19 and 20, following a minor collision.
"There were no reports of any injuries, and the driver of the car was arrested at the scene on suspicion of failing to stop for officers, theft of a motor vehicle, driving without insurance and driving without a licence."
