It's official - Sandbach Heath councillor and former leader of Cheshire East Council, Cllr Sam Corcoran is to be the next mayor of Sandbach.

Cllr Corcoran, currently deputy mayor, announced it on his Social Media today (Wednesday) saying: "I am delighted to have been selected as the next Mayor of Sandbach.

"I will take over from John Arnold at the town council meeting on 20 May. I am looking forward to meeting and supporting many of the wonderful volunteer groups in Sandbach during my Mayoral year
