An angry reader has contacted Sandbach Nub News and Cheshire Police after graffiti appeared at the entrance to Sandbach Park and inside the park.

Graffiti has also been daubed on a tree root and the side of the post box outside Sandbach library near the park.

Words have been sprayed on a park bench and the table tennis table in the park not to mention at the entrance to the park at The Commons.

Now the reader, who asked not to be identified, has asked the police to provide presence in the park to prevent it happening again.

She has also contacted Sandbach Town Council asking them for help.

The reader said: "There is a cross on the post box outside the library and apparently graffiti in the same colour at the side of Waitrose.

"I spoke to a councillor at the town council surgery last weekend stating my concerns about this and a separate matter of solvent abuse in the park too as cans have been found near the pond by a park keeper.

"I have asked for a police presence. It was all done about 8am one morning as seen by the park keeper. Young men wearing masks."

Sandbach Nub News has contacted Sandbach Town Council and Cheshire Police for a comment.

In a separate unrelated matter, conservation work is underway after graffiti was sprayed on Chester's city walls sparking a coordinated response from the council, police, and conservation expert.

They are working to remove the damage without harming the ancient stonework after the city's historic walls were sprayed with graffiti as reported by our sister site, Chester Nub News here .
