Classic cars, traction engines, lorries and a raft of other vehicles – Smallwood Vintage Rally near Sandbach has it all.

The final day of the three-day event takes place tomorrow (Bank Holiday Monday) and there's plenty to see and do.

Sandbach model engineer Philip Owston has one of his pride and joys on show again - the Pride of Sandbach (pictured below).

Mr Owston (pictured above) started off his working life as a fitter and turner in the railway industry in Crewe before working at Foden's in Sandbach.

The avid model engineer now spends his time working on models at his Elworth Road home as we revealed in this story here

"I am very proud of it. It's the only one of its kind and represents some of Sandbach's history, something I am very fond of," he told Sandbach Nub News.

The steam engine features the Fred Hackney road transport name, a company which was based in Sandbach.

The event has vintage classic, modern vehicle exhibits classic campers, engines, military vehicles, tanks, steam engines and much more plus an array of stalls.

Almost 200 vintage tractors will be on display during the weekend as well as the popular tractor pulling event. More details on their website here
