A Sandbach couple who are fanatical about fitness have taken the plunge and opened their own premises for their gym.

Jack Hampton and Amy Taylor set up Hampton Taylor Training in August last year but yesterday (Saturday) they opened the doors to their new premises.

The couple have taken on premises in a unit which was a former garage in Moston Road, Sandbach.

Jack and Amy met while working for Sports Coaching North West.

Jack (27), a former pupil of Sandbach School and Amy (28), who went to Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College, have been looking for premises for a while.

Now the two are looking forward to a new chapter in the life of Hampton Taylor Training at the Moston Road premises.

"We love helping people of all abilities to achieve their goal whether it be weight loss or improving personal fitness," said Jack, who has coached in multi-sports.

"We'll be holding a range of classes and have all sorts of things planned. We're very excited. We want customers to enjoy coming to our classes."

Amy competed as a gymnast at national level and also has a real passion for fitness.

"We want people to feel comfortable about coming to the gym. It can feel daunting at first for some people," she said

"Having our own premises is a dream come true. We'll be having a creche area and we've got a PT studio for one-to-one.

"We're both very passionate about the industry and helping people to enjoy working out and having fun."

The Hampton Taylor Training open day took place on Saturday (May 27th). The business will be offering free trial classes so people can try out the classes.

If you can't get along though more details about the business can be found on the website or the Hampton Taylor Training Facebook page here
