Motorists faced delays on the M6 today (Thursday) nofrhtbound near Sandbach after a three-vehicle accident between junctions 17 and 18.  

Highways officers were called in to deal with the incident at 3.08 pm on the northbound carriageway. 

A Cheshire police spokesperson said: "On 11th July police were called to reports of a collision on the M6 northbound between junction 17 and 18. 

"The incident involved three vehicles, although there are no reports of any injuries."
