Sandbach United Football club has said a big thank you to all those who donated to its annual foodbank appeal.

Sandbach Nub News told here how the Hind Heath Road Club launched an appeal earlier this month to help boost food banks during the festive season.

Every year, the club asks players and fans to donate items to help Sandbach Foodbank and Middlewich & District Foodbank.

And earlier this week the football club took the donations to Sandbach Foodbank and Middlewich & District Foodbank.

Liz Clark, from Sandbach United said: "It wasn't just our footballing members that contributed, it was all of our disability groups, over 65's, Harp Nursery by the club and RK Henshall.

"So we really are including and encouraging the community to help each other. We will also be giving a cash donation to both foodbanks."
