Firefighters were called to a property in Haslington this morning (Tuesday) after smoke was seen coming from a garage.

Two fire engines from Crewe went to the detached garage in Primrose Avenue at 6.21 am.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Crews were called to reports of smoke issuing from a detached garage in Haslington.

"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish a fire that had started within the garage. Two high pressure fans were then used to clear smoke from the area."
