English tenor, Russell Watson, was in fine tune at the signing of his latest book, 'Encore' in South Cheshire.

And the singer, known as 'The Voice', who appeared in Series 20 of 'I'm a Celebrity UK' even predicted who might win the latest 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of here'.

His latest book is about his rise back to fame after two series health issues. (Photo: Nub News)

He said: "My money was on Tulsa but she was eliminated out of the show so now I reckon Barrie McGuigan unless he get eliminated."

The opera singer, who lives on a farm near Congleton, drew large crowds at Astbury Meadow Garden Centre last night (Wednesday).

He starred in "I'm a Celebrity" previously and still remembers the days. "It was very cold and I was hungry. We only had 600 calories a day."

Russell is a big fan of the local community and St Mary's Church, Astbury, where he holds regular fundraising concerts and which holds a special place in his heart.

"I proposed under the tree to my wife Louise on Christmas Eve ten years ago. It's a special place," he said.

Crowds had gathered to meet the popular opera singer, including fans Deb and Craig Polese from Stockport.

"He's so versatile being able to switch from one type of music to another. We saw him at Gawsworth in the summer and were due to see him in Shrewsbury a couple of weeks ago.

"The crowds here just show how popular he is."

Fans of Russell Watson queued for over an hour or so to get copies of his latest book, "Encore: My Journey Back to Centre Stage".

It tells the story of how the talented singer, who once worked in a factory, got back to being at the top after having two brain tumours in 2006 and 2007, battling crippling treatment and lifesaving operations.
