Firefighters called to car blaze in Sandbach Heath

Firefighters from Crewe went to a car on fire in Heath Road, Sandbach at Halloween.

There was no damage to nearby homes in the incident at 5.53 pm on Tuesday (Oct 31st) night.   

A Cheshire fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "There was a fire in the engine compartment of a car.

"Firefighters isolated the battery and used a hose reel jet to put out the fire. There was no fire damage to nearby properties."
