Firefighters were called out to a fire in the bathroom of a property in Ettiley Heath during the early hours of Sunday morning (15 February).

One fire engine from Sandbach and another from Crewe went to the property in Rookery Close, Sandbach at 5.16 am.

A spokesperson from Cheshire fire & Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a report of a fire in a bathroom of a property in Rookery Close, Sandbach.

"Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to put out a small fire, before a large fan was used to clear smoke out of the building. All persons in the property were accounted for."
