Firefighters cooled down the axle of HGV after it overheated on the M6

Firefighters from Sandbach went to put out a fire in a heavy goods vehicle which has overheated on the M6.
One engine from Sandbach and another from Birchwood went to the incident between Junctions 18 and 19 on the M6 north yesterday (Wednesday).
A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "The axle of a heavy goods vehicle that had overheated on the M6 was cooled by firefighters using a hose reel.
"A thermal imaging camera was also used to check the heat of the vehicle."
