Firefighters use large fan to clear air following microwave incident in Sandbach

Firefighters used a large fan to clear a room of smoke after burnt food in a microwave caught fire in a house in Sandbach.

Two fire engines from Crewe went to the incident at 8.37 pm in Congleton Road, Sandbach on Saturday night (April 1st).

A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Smoke from burnt food in a microwave required firefighters to use a large fan to clear a room.

"The building was evacuated prior to their arrival as a precaution."
