Flags throughout Sandbach were flown at half-mast today (Friday) following the death of the Queen yesterday.

St Mary's Church's flag was visibly at half-mast and the bells were tolled today in her memory and many people went to say a prayer at the church.

Cheshire East Council's HQ, Westfields in Middlewich Road was also flying its flag at half-mast and the nearby Sandbach Police Station also had its flag at half-mast.

Sandbach Town Hall is also displaying purple lights at night as a mark of respect for the Monarch who passed away at her beloved Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
