Happy Pancake Day!

It's Shrove Tuesday aka Pancake Day - the traditional feast day before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday.

Historically, today is the day when people went to confession to prepare themselves for Lent.

Pancakes are made from flour, eggs and milk are the traditional fare but what's your favourite?

Restaurants and cafes all over are serving up the traditional recipe including Sandbach's historic Swan & Chequers.

They are serving up their delicious hot pancake stack all day with lots of toppings to choose from including maple syrup, melted butter, banana, chocolate sauce, bacon and whipped cream.
