The owner of an award-winning homecare company and three of his staff are taking on their 'hottest' challenge yet – in aid of breast cancer.

Ben Selby, owner of Right at Home South & Mid Cheshire, community engagement manager, Carole Salmon, and two other members of staff are doing a firewalk.

The four are busy preparing for event at the Nantwich Clinic on Thursday (February 15th) to help enhance the care for more people using the Breast Care Unit at Leighton Hospital.

Ben and Carole are being joined by Jo, registered manager at Right at Home Mid Cheshire and Pam , lead Senior Care Giver at the Sandbach office.

They decided to take on the fundraising challenge after Radio Northwich co-owner and inspiration Kim Smith, developed breast cancer.

Diagnosed in 2020, Kim fought a courageous battle and now she now raises funds to help others like her who receive care at the Breast Care Unit at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Leighton.

She said: "I am in awe of the Right at Home South & Mid Cheshire team deciding to do a fire walk - I mean how brave (or mad ) are they?

"To do this amazing feat to support the Breast Care Unit warms the cockles of my heart."

The Right at Home Team, calling themselves 'hot stuff' have set up a JustGiving page. All money raised will go to the Breast Care Unit at Leighton. Follow this link here to donate
