A group set up to support a community park in a part of Sandbach is having its first tidy and weed morning this weekend.

Sandbach Nub News reported last month how the Friends of Elworth Park had held a meeting and elected its new officers.

Gill Merry was elected chair of the Friends of Elworth Park, Graham Whitehouse, treasurer and Nicola Cook secretary.

How the group is invited people to join in a tidy and weed morning to help "spruce" up the park.

Secretary, Nicola Cook said: "All are welcome and it's a great way to meet like-minded friends both new and old."

The tidy and weed takes place on Saturday (April 23rd) between 10 am and 12 noon.

Elworth Park is near Sandbach station and has picnic benches, a children's play area and a large grassed area.
