Professional dancer, Shannon Louise, has opened her own dance studio in Sandbach.
Professional dancer, Shannon Louise, has opened her own dance studio in Sandbach.

A Sandbach teacher has opened her own studio and students are riding on the crest of a new wave.

The professional dancer, who trained at the Northern Ballet School, danced with Princess Cruise Lines, travelling all over the world.

Shannon Louise was selected to be a part of the press performance cast for the Stephen Schwartz Broadway Musical 'Born to Dance' in New York.

And she was lucky enough to work alongside Broadway directors, choreographers and musical directors, including performing with Disney Land Paris.

Back on terra firma, she launched her own dance school, Shannon Louise Dance Academy, and has moved into her own premises in Station Yard in Station Road.

And on Friday, young students shared a touch of Shannon's 'pixie dust' when they took part in a Disney Dance Day during half-term as seen in What's On section https://sandbach.nub.news/whats-on/culture/disney-dance-day-48568

Youngsters will be learning dance moves, arts and crafts and performing their amazing work.

Shannon is an "all-rounder" and teaches across the dance range from ballet to tap, Motown dance fitness to senior contemporary, stretch and musical theatre.

And the talented dance studio owner has even launched classes to teach couples how to dance for their wedding day.

"It can be nerve wracking for newlyweds to take to the floor for the first dance with guest watching them.

"We've launched a lesson about helping the happy couple learn some steps to make this less daunting."

Shannon and her dad, Christopher Else, converted the building at Station Yard, near Sandbach station, into a purpose-built studio.

She previously held classes at the Wesley Centre in Sandbach but has now moved into her own premises.

The surroundings go hand-in-hand with Shannon's ethos – to provide a safe place to relax and boost confidence through dance.

Shannon has designed the space to allow her students, who cover all ages from young to adult, to relax and learn dace skills.

"We pride ourselves on creating friendly, fun and inclusive classes to provide you with the best environment to strive in your dance journey," she said.

"It doesn't matter whether you want to get fit, meet new people boost your confidence or progress on to a dance career, we're here for you,"

Sandbach Nub News wishes Shannon and her students success in their base at Station Yard.
