The future of the former Limes pub in Sandbach is set to be decided at a planning meeting next week.

Sandbach Nub News told here how an investigation was underway after fire ripped through the building in Sweettooth Lane at the end of May.

The empty building, which has been the subject of vandalism, has a bowling green at the front, but has been closed for a while.

Now members of Cheshire East Council's Southern Planning committee will debate an application to demolish the building and build a 57-bed care home at its meeting next Wednesday (August 30th).

The meeting starts at 10 am and takes place in the Council Chamber in the Municipal Buildings in Earle Street, Crewe.

The Crown Care Group has applied for permission to demolish and build a new 57 bed care home with car parking and landscaping.
