Sandbach care home, Elworth Grange, had a blast when they invited families from the My Babytime group for a morning of intergenerational fun.

The session was organised as part of the home's Open Week, in which staff and residents invited the public to various events in the home.

And the home, in Booth Lane, is inviting the local community to their Community Give Back Friday events which run from 12:00 noon until 2 pm.

For the My Babytime event, parents and children gathered in Elworth Grange's lounge area, to enjoy music, sensory toys and activities, puppets, bubble blowing and parachute games.

Eighty-nine-year-old resident, Roy Ashton, said: 'It was very good, I enjoyed it very much. It's taken me back a few years to when my children were small and it was nice to relive the memories again.'

Elworth Grange's home manager, Sarah Rodger, said: "It was lovely to see the residents smiling and laughing with the children.

"We were so pleased when My Babytime agreed to come visit us, and what a turnout! The session really made our residents' day, and I think we've all made some strong friendships."

A spokesperson from My Babytime, said: "It was magical watching the two generations come together. We all had so much fun and we can't wait to come back and see everyone again."
